Prior to Joining FTV, Paul was CEO and Founder of Big Brook Asset Management where he developed machine learning investment strategies to augment fundamental stock analysis. Since inception in 2017 to July 2020, Big Brook outperformed the S&P 500 by 50%.

Before Big Brook, Paul spent 10 years as Senior Analyst at QVT Financial where he was responsible for the firms’ global technology and renewable energy portfolios. The portfolio outperformed the benchmark Semiconductor Index by 450% over the 7 years where performance was measured.

Paul was Founder of GaNRose to develop Gallium Nitride technology for high-speed power electronics. GaNRose was acquired by Infineon which was acquired by International Rectifier.

He was also one of the first employees at Xponent Photonics where he pioneered semiconductor manufacturing techniques for photonic integrated circuits in telecommunications.

Paul is an inventor of 30 semiconductor electronics patents and has a PhD in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology where he held multiple roles commercializing research technology at Caltech spinoffs.
